Students
A growing group of students is involved in SBO. Below a number of students who actively participate or have participated in SBO and the activities.

Nina van Doesburg
SBO testing
Nina is a Creative Business student at Inholland University of Applied Sciences. Nina believes that lifestyle is an important aspect of your mental and physical health. Especially after a vulnerable time like the corona pandemic, it is good to take care of yourself. She herself is chronically ill and walking is an accessible way for her to implement daily exercise in her life. Within SBO she will be involved in testing all activities and the platform.

Ted Dingemans
Intern at Spring Force
My name is Ted Dingemans. I study Geography, Planning and Environment in Nijmegen and am doing an internship at Lentekracht for half a year. During my internship I will partly contribute to helping launch SBO Gelderland. SBO is a great initiative that wants to help both young people and nature move forward and I would like to contribute where possible!

Franziska Piarowski
Intern Nature for Health
I'm Franziska Piarowski , and I am a master's student in Behavioral Change Radboud University . I'm doing an internship at Nature For Health is M IVN, Institute for Nature Education internship, after having previously completed an internship at Lentekracht. During my internship I research how practitioners in mental health care institutions can best be motivated to do (more) treatments outside in greenery. During my internship, and perhaps afterwards, I will contribute to #SamenBlokjeOmdenken Gelderland. This initiative is very appealing because it combines attention to the mental state of young people and attention to nature. In my spare time I also like to be active in nature. I like to walk and do Yoga and I like to cook vegetarian meals with friends.

Denise van Baarle

Denise studies Urban Design at Saxion Deventer and maps out attractive routes where the threshold is not too high. So that everyone can go around the block when they want!

Harmen Severiens
SBO Routes and Recruitment
Harmen is a true nature lover with a bachelor's degree in Forest & Nature Conservation. Within SBO he is involved in the development of the routes around Zwolle and the recruitment.

Tim den Brok
Intern at Lentekracht
My name is Tim den Brok and I'm at Yuverta MBO Nijmegen, where I do the City and People course. In this direction I am very much or even only concerned with sustainability and how you can plan or make different products but also activities in a sustainable and circular manner. I am doing an internship at Lentekracht for 10 weeks. One of the projects I will be working on during this period is SBO Gelderland with a number of other students. When I was told that many students had a lot of mental problems due to COVID, but also rarely go out into nature, I wanted to help with this. We therefore strive for fun activities to help young people but also our nature a hand!

James van Veen
Intern at Lentekracht
James is a master student in Urban Environmental Management at Wageningen University. I am doing an internship at Lentekracht and I have a passion for sustainability. During my internship as part of the student team of SBO Gelderland, I will help expand SBO to the province of Gelderland. I think it is an important initiative because I am concerned about the increase in the number of mental health complaints among young people and in general. At the same time, our nature is under threat and young people can contribute to this. So it would be nice if we could solve two serious problems with one initiative; at least, we try!

Lot Garssen

Lot is a Tourism Management student at InHolland University of Applied Sciences. Ever since she can remember she has been diving into nature. Nature is the place where Lot can relax and enjoy immensely. She wants the peace and pleasure she finds in nature, likes to pass it on to others and that is why she helps with the concept of SBO. Within SBO she helps to develop routes and podcasts to experience and, above all, discover nature.

Connie Hu
Rethinking nature
Having experienced the healing power of nature firsthand in the course of this pandemic, I aspired to encourage more fellow international students / expats to take a moment, notice nature around them, and engage with nature. As a result, you will appreciate how much value the everyday green and blue space brings to our well-being and everyday living.

Relinde van Dorresteijn
